Since the last Malaysian Chinese serial, “Aspirasi” ended about a month ago, I decided to watch the new serial which just began 2 days ago. As I was getting fairly accustomed to the limited pool of actors and actresses, I was curious to see who was acting in this new series called “1/2 Jalan”.

To my delight, I spotted a few familiar faces during the opening clip and figured that it might be nice. Little did I know that I was about to watch what I deem as the silliest show I’ve ever seen so far. Silly would be an understatement. I literally felt like strangling the main character as he was just so insanely obnoxious. The bunch of Ah Long’s (loan sharks), each with their own weird hairdo was enough to drive me mad.

My sister was also shocked by the absurdness of the dumb show but both of us remained glued to the Tv screen. As much as I wanted to stop watching and switch channels, somehow I just didn’t. By the end of the episode, I felt so irritated with myself for watching such a stupid show.

Anyway, if anyone wants to experience this show for yourself, do tune in to Tv2 at 12.30 am. It’s usually aired on Tuesdays to Fridays.
