This song is a famous Christmas song which I used to sing when I was little. In fact, I did try singing it recently but I got stuck at the 8th Day of Christmas and ended up making up the rest of the lyrics. Finally, I decided to google it up to find the actual lyrics once and for all…and just as a personal record or if anyone would like to know, these are the 12 thingys in the ‘12 days of Christmas’ song…
On the twelveth day of Chrismtas my true love sent to me…
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree!

Considering you’re a Med Student, maybe this version of 12 Days of Christmas is more your thing.
On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me.
Twelve beaten children.
Eleven drive-by shootings.
Ten frozen homeless.
Nine amputations.
Eight burn victims.
Seven strangled shoppers.
Six random knifings.
Five suicides.
Four beaten wives.
Three O.D.’s.
Two shattered skulls.
And a drunk who drove into a tree.

hey jel, actually this song has a very interesting origin. i cant remember much but it goes something like this: a particular nation wasnt allowed to celebrate christmas and so they came up with this special xmas song. if u observe the lyrics, they may seem senseless but truth is that each line actually holds a symbolic meaning abt the advent season and the christianity belief. i only remember that the “partridge” actually symbolizes JESUS. nice eh? i thought so too. have a blessed christmas
