Watched the movie, read the book.

The movie was so-so, rather short, I must say. There were quite some things I didn’t fully understand, and a couple of things left hanging. However, it wasn’t as bad as some reviews said it was. Perhaps it was because I haven’t read the book yet.

As for the book, I’d just finished reading it yesterday. The book was definitely better than the movie. I also realised that some parts of the movie didn’t quite follow the storyline in the book, though the modifications were subtle. However, a lot of things were explained in more detail, especially the meaning to all the terms, such as danna, mizuage, obi etc.

All in all, it was a nice love story, I guess…
